Today’s World Ranger Day celebrates the men and women who protect and restore our natural environment, often putting their life on the line to battle bushfire, perform rescue operations and control illegal poaching.

The day has attracted support from such eminent figures as conservationist Jane Goodall and His Royal Highness Prince William. In a letter to the International Ranger Federation the Prince notes that 1,000 rangers have lost their lives on duty during the past ten years.

We extend our sincerest thanks to Parks Australia’s dedicated and passionate rangers and rangers around the world for all they do! Catch more ranger adventures on our Facebook page.
