Maguk re-opens after possible croc sighting

Grab your walking boots and head in to Kakadu! Maguk  re-opened today – it was closed last week following the possible sighting of a 2.5 metre crocodile close to the footbridge crossing the Maguk Creek.

Although Maguk was cleared of crocodiles at the start of the season, and continues to be monitored, this sighting highlights how mobile crocodiles are—they can move in to a waterway at anytime.

We want you to enjoy your time in our parks and return home safely! Please follow safety signs and report any possible sighting to a ranger as soon as possible.
