We are delighted to update you on our recent blog with the news Hezekiel Jingoonya has been awarded the title of Male Elder of the Year in the 2012 NAIDOC Awards.

Hezekiel is a well-loved member of the Mutitjulu community at Uluru and is known for his dedication to the community and joint management of the park.

As well as sharing his knowledge and experience with junior rangers, school groups and tour operators, Hezekiel regularly and generously provides his advice on decisions regarding park management.

The awards were presented at the NAIDOC Week ball in Hobart last night. Hezekiel accepted his award via video.

Well done, Hezekiel. We are so proud to know and work with you!
