Despite steady rain, two of Booderee’s beaches got a good clean-up recently. Park staff and volunteers removed numerous bags of rubbish as well as the odd sea spurge plant.
Although some of the rubbish is carried in on ocean currents it’s a shame people still leave rubbish at pristine and remote locations. After cleaning up Whitings Beach the volunteers were particularly glad to find they had missed out on the demanding task of carting rubbish up the steep slopes from Steamers!
After a quick pic and a yarn everyone departed – happy in the knowledge that their efforts continue to keep this park looking its best.
