To see Uluru today in the rain was a unique experience. The summit was hidden behind a misty cloud and small waterfalls cascaded down all around with creeks seemingly appearing out of nowhere rushing out into the plains. The noise of the waterfalls was incredible coming from all directions and walking the base walk held a surprise around every corner.
The only way to enjoy it was to get amongst it and get wet. Splashing through puddles and small creeks was an unexpected pleasure given that last week the temperature was up around 38 degrees.
