Scientists from across Australia will ‘blitz’ Neds Corner Station in Victoria’s mallee country next week — spending some 2,000 hours over 10 days surveying the reserve’s plants and animals.

The scientists expect they’ll find species that are new to science!

Neds Corner Station was added to the National Reserve System in 2002 and is today managed for conservation by Trust for Nature.

Bush Blitz is a partnership between the Australian Government, BHP Billiton and Earthwatch Australia that aims to document the plants and animals across Australia’s National Reserve System.

Stayed tuned for further updates.
