Day one – Monday 29 August
We arrive at Credo Station just as the sun is setting, lighting up the landscape with vivid earthy ochres and salt bush greys. A flurry of activity sees a small tent city mushroom out of the red earth while the Bush Blitz team, Earthwatch staff and scientists create the base camp that will be the home of over 26 people for the next two weeks. By the time the first well earned beer is opened Credo Station camp ground is transformed into a bustling scientific hub. The microscopes are set up, the collecting bags are counted and the cameras are charged ready for the first day of field work tomorrow.
