Norfolk Island National Park turns 25!

Norfolk Island National Park celebrated its 25th anniversary today! The park and Botanic Garden were initially established in 1984.

Today thousands of visitors enjoy exploring the park’s stunning scenery and rich diversity of bird life. From bushwalks beneath the planet’s tallest tree ferns to barbecues overlooking spectacular ocean cliffs, there is something here for everyone.

  1. We have recently returned from a stay on Norfolk Island and enjoyed walking in the National park very much. The tracks are well maintained and signage is good (although an extra sign for the upper entry to the Palm Glen Circuit Track would be helpful). The tall tree ferns are beautiful and the Norfolk Pines are majestic. It is very peaceful.
    The ocean views at the Bird Rock Lookout make the trek worthwhile!
