Booderee has its own celebrity talent – young Tanika Lonesborough.
Tanika plays actress Deborah Mailman’s character Gail as a young girl in the hit Aussie film The Sapphires.
Tanika is from the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community, the granddaughter of Annette Brown who sits on the Booderee Board of Management.
The Sapphires hasn’t been Tanika’s first brush with fame – she also met Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on her last visit to Australia.
